Would You Eat Instant Porridge Every Day – Is It Really Safe?

Open a packet of typical instant porridge. The ingredient list often contains a long list of additives. To improve taste, many products add sugar and oil. To cut costs, they may use broken or old rice. After eating, you feel hungry again within an hour, but your blood sugar spikes quickly. Diabetics avoid it. People with sensitive stomachs don’t trust it. Does convenience really have to come at the cost of health?

Even worse, many instant porridges are marketed as “nutritious” and “tonic,” but their nutrition facts are poor: low protein, almost no dietary fiber. Consumers pay a premium for little more than flavored starch.

Our solution

This congee uses a low-GI rice base (human-tested GI value). It contains six medicinal and edible ingredients: kudzu root, polygonatum, monkey head mushroom, yam, lily bulb, and mulberry leaf. It also includes a “dual resistant” blend – resistant dextrin and resistant starch – to support gut probiotics. The formula is an improved version of the “Eight-Grain Congee” from a Ming Dynasty health classic, adapted with modern nutritional science.

The numbers:

Tested by CMA & CNAS labs: per 30g – dietary fiber 4.6g (18% NRV), high protein, low fat (only 0.4g fat per 30g). The puffed rice process allows it to be ready in 1 minute – just add hot water. Rich rice aroma, smooth texture, no chewing needed. Warms the stomach and soothes digestion.

Who is it for?

This congee is ideal for three groups: people managing blood sugar who still want to eat staples; those with weak digestion or sensitive stomachs; and busy office workers who need a quick, healthy breakfast. Full without the spike.
