Low-GI Food OEM/ODM Process: From Concept to Shelf in How Many Steps?
Many brands want to develop low-GI products but are unclear about the process and timeline. Detective No.55 divides OEM/ODM development into five standardized stages, each with clear deliverables:
Stage 1 – Requirement Gathering (1–2 weeks)
Client provides target market, price range, formula preferences (flavor/nutritional targets), packaging format, and estimated order volume. We issue a preliminary feasibility analysis and cost estimate.
Stage 2 – Formula Sampling & GI Testing (6–10 weeks)
R&D team develops samples based on requirements and conducts sensory evaluation. Once the formula is confirmed, we arrange human clinical GI testing (in accordance with WS/T 652-2019) and issue an official test report. This is the key step that distinguishes “truly low-GI” products.
Stage 3 – Packaging Design & Compliance Review (2–4 weeks)
Parallel packaging design and label review to ensure compliance with destination country regulations. We provide nutrition fact calculation and claim support documents.
Stage 4 – Pilot Production & Third-Party Testing (2–3 weeks)
Small-batch pilot production in a Class 100,000 clean workshop, followed by full testing (GI value, nutrition, microbiology, contaminants) at a CMA/CNAS-accredited lab.
Stage 5 – Mass Production & Delivery (depends on order volume)
After signing the mass production contract, production is scheduled. Standard lead time is 30–45 days. Split shipments and multiple trade terms (FOB/CIF, etc.) are supported.
Detective No.55 supports small-batch pilot runs (no rigid MOQ), and provides complete test reports along with product liability insurance. Brands, distributors, and special institutions are welcome for custom collaboration.
